Basic member insurance
NAR has a basic life and disability insurance program for all members.
The insurance program is mandatory, however, individual members can choose to opt out from the insurance program.
The insurance program costs NOK 198 a month / NOK 2.376 a year (2024). The cost is deducted from your salary, together with the NAR membership fee.

All new members will automatically join the insurance program. If you decide not to join, you must sign a declaration and send it to the NAR insurance office. The declaration form will be sent to you as part of the information you receive from us after joining NAR.
