The project manager for the survey is Christian Thue Bjørndal. He is a member of the Young Academy of Norway (AYF) and also a union representative for Forskerforbundet at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences.

– One of the first things the Young Academy of Norway did after it was founded was to conduct a survey on the working conditions and career prospects of young researchers, Bjørndal says. Now that the academy is ten years old, we want to conduct a new survey to find out what it looks like today.

The survey covers, among other things, working conditions, career prospects, work environment, publishing pressure and psychosocial health.

– The survey is open to all scientific employees, whether they are PhD candidates, assistant professors or in a research position. The only criterion is that you have not reached the age of 45, and work in what we call academia in the broad sense: A university, a university college, a research institute, or in a research position at a health trust, says Bjørndal.

Please share the survey in relevant networks, Bjørndal encourages.
