The salary statistics help you as a member to assess your own salary against industry standards, which strengthens your negotiating position. It provides insight into salary by education, position and sector, and is an important tool in local salary negotiations.

Salary statistics for members in the state sector. Figures as of 31.12.2025.

The salary statistics for the state sector are based on salary overviews submitted by local union representatives for Forskerforbundet members. The statistics cover 13,354 employees and provide an updated overview of the salary level for government-employed researchers and knowledge workers.

Salary statistics for members in the NHO/Abelia, Spekter, Virke, KS, Oslo municipality and KA bargaining areas as of 31.12.2025

The salary statistics for the non-state sector are based on a survey among our members in the private and municipal sectors at the turn of the year 2025/2026.

The statistics include 2,573 respondents and provide an updated overview of the salary level for researchers and knowledge workers outside the state.
