Vision and values The vision and values of the Norwegian Association of Researchers (NAR) is an overarching document that describes who we are, what we stand for and the goals we strive to attain. Work program 2022–2024 This work program together with our "vision and values" are NAR's foremost policy documents and detail NAR's overall objectives and main tasks. Wage policy (2023) Forskerforbundet strives to ensure that our members' wages are competitive, both nationally and internationally. Policy paper on PhD candidates (2024) Doctoral education is an important investment for the individual and for society. Arrangements must be made for as many as possible to complete, preferably within the standard appointment time. Policy paper on postdocs and researchers in the early career phase (2024) Postdoctoral fellows and young researchers in the initial phase of their careers must be given pay and working conditions that promote recruitment and contribute to young talents choosing research as a career path. Policy paper on gender equality (2017) Forskerforbundet's policy paper on gender equality is a tool for union representatives and members to use in their gender equality work. It is written by representatives of Nordic trade unions organizing academics at higher education institutions.
