On November 20, the National Wages Board ruled that Unio and Akademikerne will keep their basic collective agreement in the state sector. This collective agreement was negotiated between Unio, Akademikerne and the state in 2022, and will now be valid until April 30, 2026.

The National Wages Board ruling is a considerable victory for Unio, meaning that the twelve days long strike in the state sector this spring was fruitful. Unio’s demand was to keep its own basic agreement, to continue the work for higher wages for state employees with higher education.

The salary settlement means that the local negotiations in the state sector can start immediately.

The National Wages Board also ruled that LO must be part of the same basic collective agreement as YS.
